Pharmacy Technician program to use Nexxsys software

Oulton College is pleased to announce the implementation of ProPharm Limited’s dispensary management software, Nexxsys™, into the Pharmacy Technician Program’s Retail Pharmacy module, replacing QS-1.

By using Nexxsys™ in the pharmacy laboratory setting, students will be more easily trained on prescription processing and inventory management.

The Windows-based software will also allow the students to develop additional desired technician skills that will include creating extensive patient profiles, monitoring medical conditions, correcting and reversing prescriptions, processing third party claims, applying auxiliary labels, monitoring inventory, maintaining advanced compounds, creating custom groups of patients, reconciling purchase orders, and organizing and keeping track of daily activities.

Students will also be able to quickly make the transition to other pharmacy dispensing software. By implementing Nexxsys™ in the pharmacy technician laboratory, Oulton College is meeting the needs of the future employers of our Pharmacy Technician graduates.
