Oulton College Welcomes Largest Class

MONCTON, NB – Oulton College has set a record this fall, as the College welcomed its largest class to campus. Oulton welcomed over 700 new and returning students to campus, the largest total enrolment in the College’s 60-year history.

“Education is important to ensuring career success,” says Darcie Robichaud, College President. “Our record class size this year is a true testament to the fact that students are looking for more than an education – they are looking for an experience. Oulton students learn the theory and skills they need to be job ready graduates, which is how we continue to maintain or 90% or above graduate placement rate.”

In anticipation of this continued enrolment, Oulton has invested in facilities and student services.

“It is important that we remain student focused and continue to deliver superior education to our students,” says Patricia Worthington-LeBlanc, the College’s Director of Student Services. “We continue to improve our student spaces, the accessibility of technology and the support services that are available to our student body.”

Students now have access to a common workspace, named the Creative Commons. The space features group workstations, white board walls for team projects and iMac computers. In addition to these infrastructure improvements, the College’s Student Success team continues to develop their student support services.

“Graduates from Oulton College will continue to graduate with the skills they need to start their new careers,” says Robichaud. “We look forward to growing our program offerings and student body in the years to come.”
