Oulton Students Participate in Pink Shirt Day

MONCTON, NB – If you were on campus February 25th, you may have noticed lots of pink everywhere you went. Students, faculty and staff of Oulton College participated in the annual Pink Shirt Day.  Pink Shirt Day was created by two high schools students from Nova Scotia, who decided to take a stand against bullying in their own school.

The initiative was being organized by the local Boys & Girls Clubs, and saw students across the province wear pink to show their support. On campus, students from all faculties were eager to wear pink to show their support for the campaign. “Oulton College believes in a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff and faculty,” says Darcie Robichaud, President of Oulton College. “Each year, we encourage our community to wear something pink in support of this campaign. Together we can work towards bully free environments in our community, schools and online.”
