Practical Skills Combined with Quality Education

MONCTON, NB - Learning extends beyond the classroom at Oulton College. As part of the College's educational approach, program curricula have been designed to include practicum training for students. Ranging between 4 and 6 weeks, students are placed with mentors throughout various organizations to receive practical skill training. These placements provide students with career ready skills that will help ease their transition into the workforce after graduation.

Students from the Medical Office Administration, Medical Laboratory Assistant,  Veterinary Technician, Child & Youth Care, and Early Childhood Educator / Educational Assistant programs are currently completing their practicum, while students from other programs will be starting in the coming weeks.

"This is such an exciting time of year for everyone; for the students, all the hard work starts to pay off and for us as staff, we watch proudly as job offers start to roll in!" says Patricia Worthington, Director of Student Services. "We remain just as eager as we were on the first day of classes to help our graduates reach their final goal, a job in their chosen field that will be meaningful and fulfilling for their entire career."
